Financial operations & reconciliation

Meridian Recon

A finance team was closing every day by hand — matching settlements from four payment providers against bank statements in spreadsheets, chasing discrepancies over email.

Meridian Recon ingests provider and bank feeds nightly, matches transactions automatically, and turns what remains into a short, prioritised exception queue. The close became a review, not an excavation.

Workforce operations

Roster OS

A multi-site services company was scheduling hundreds of field staff through a mix of WhatsApp, printed rotas and one over-stretched operations manager.

Roster OS gives planners one view of coverage across sites, flags understaffed shifts before they happen, and pushes confirmed schedules to staff directly — with attendance flowing back into payroll.

Purchase approvals were living in inboxes. Requests stalled for weeks, no one could say where a request was, and audit season meant reconstructing decisions from forwarded threads.

How we work

Good internal software is mostly decided before any code is written. Our process exists to protect that.

  1. Understand the business first

    We start inside your operation — sitting with the people who do the work, reading the spreadsheets, tracing the exceptions. The goal is to understand the problem well enough to say what shouldn't be built, before deciding what should.

  2. Design the system, not the screens

    Data model, permissions, failure modes and the workflows around the software come before interface design. Screens follow from a system that is already coherent on paper.

  3. Build in the open

    You see working software early and often — weekly, not at a launch event. Feedback from the people who will actually use the system shapes it while change is still cheap.

  4. Ship, then keep going

    Deployment is the middle of the work, not the end. We stay through adoption, measure what the system changes, and iterate against real usage.

About C15 Labs

C15 Labs was founded on a simple observation: most business software is either generic or badly built — and the organisations that depend on it deserve better than both.

We are a small studio of designers and engineers based in Lagos, Nigeria, working with organisations across Africa and beyond whose operations have become too specific, too large or too important for off-the-shelf tools.

We present ourselves as we are: a small senior team that takes on a limited number of problems and goes deep on each one. We work on fixed-scope builds and retained partnerships, and we are currently accepting new engagements.
